John Douglas

John Douglas is Wyoming's own — and he wears it proudly. Racing under number 307 (Wyoming's sole area code), John represents the Cowboy State on the national stage in the Touring Class, piloting his classic 1964 Cessna 182G, N182WY. A 3rd place finish in the 2025 National STOL season proves that stock-class flying done right is still a force to be reckoned with. Beyond the competition strip, John is a cornerstone of the STOL community as co-host of Rocky Mountain STOL, bringing world-class short-field competition to the heart of the Mountain West. A highly skilled aircraft mechanic and owner of Emblem Aviation, he brings a rare combination of technical mastery and competitive instinct to everything he does — on the ground and in the air.
